Satan's Footprints

The first footprints were recorded in 1855 by Jill Wade, a pensioner who found the hoof-like marks in the snow in her back garden in Woolsery. The Sun quoted her as saying that: I couldn't trust it, the footprints were in the shape of a cloven hoof. There were no other marks in the snow and I would love to know what it was.
The footprints were inspected by the scientists from the Centre for Fortean Zoology. According to the analysis, the footprints were 5 inches long with a stride of between 11 and 17 inches. These prints matched a mysterious 100-mile trail that was found in Devon 154 years ago, and blamed on Satan.
The CFZ experts believe that both tracks could have been made by an animal, such as a deer. They also conclude that they will solve the riddle through further research.
