Becks And Andy Raise Their Bats Against Malaria!

Malaria strikes down as many as 250 million people a year, killing more than a million, with one African child dying of the disease every 30 seconds. The concerning factor is that when it all need a mosquito net at the bed to prevent the malaria, many people are ignorant about it! What more? A mosquito net costs just five pounds for the common man.
As part to launch the anti malaria programme, the two sporting heroes knock up over the world"s longest tennis net — a 74 yard blue malaria bed net. They then lofted free kicks into a goal, which was also made of bed nets.
Another bed net was draped over the iconic No10 door in Downing Street. The duo met Olympic heptathlon gold medallist Denise Lewis and Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The duo joined the campaign against malaria, initiated by The Sun in 2007 with a visit to Nigeria with hammer attack victim Josie Russell.
