Custom-made Vans For Indian Elections

Sudhalkar has already made a small fortune for himself and is also a well known name in the political circles. He is credited to have designed 20 election vans for the last polls and is already received numerous orders this time around. His garage is now turned in to a busy work shop.
For the campaign across the country, the vehicles turn into mini-homes, for this Sudahakar is required to create vehicles with sofa-cum-bed, mini kitchens, toilets, refrigerators, open roof to address the public and even television sets for the owners to keep in touch with the latest news outside.
"Last time, I made about 20 vehicles, but this time, I am expecting more orders because politicians have now realised that it is a necessity and not a luxury," Sudhakar said.
Sudhakar first started to work on such custom-made vehicles a month ago, with the price tag of his craftsmanship going up to 80,000 rupees per van. The prices vary according to the comforts installed in the vehicles. Such vehicles are most popular with lawmakers having large constituencies.
The vans are a part of the general elections that are going to be held around this May. AGENCIES
