The Malaysian Honour For Chaka Khan

American singer Chaka Khan will be honoured in Malaysia for her contribution towards unifying the world via music. The 56-year-old songtress will be receiving The Brand Laureate Brand Personality Award from The Brand Laureate initiated by The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF). It is considered The Grammy Awards for branding.

The Brand Laureate is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and improvement of branding standards in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region. The Brand Laureate Brand Personality Award honours many outstanding individuals for their contribution to the brands and industries that they represent. In a statement, The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation said that the award recognises the efforts done by Chaka Khan and her organization.

These awards are endorsed by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and its patron is former Malaysia Prime President, Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
