The Remembrance Day poppy is a symbol of the many wars fought while Blair was in the office.
The portrait is painted by Jonathan Yeo, son of former Conservative minister, Tim.
The painting was commissioned by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, reports the Telegraph.
Blair broke something of a tradition by turning down requests for official portraits while he was the Prime Minister.
But just before leaving office, he agreed to this oil painting, and visited artist Jonathan Yeo's London studio in November last year.
The portrait will go on display at Lincoln's Inn in March, where it will hang alongside those of 16 other prime ministers, including William Pitt, Spencer Perceval, Herbert Asquith and Margaret Thatcher.
