Chennai: This teeming metropolis is all set to get a new jewellery shopping experience and yet another landmark, when India's largest exclusive showroom will be opened on March 16.

The ten-storeyed, 170,000 sqft building christened "Prashanth Real Gold Tower" is promoted by noted Kollywood actor, director and producer Thiagarajan and his son Prashanth and leading property developer Real Value Promoters Private Limited.

Prominent jewellery designer and Prashanth's younger sister Preethi Thiagarajan would take over the reins of Prashanth Real Gold Tower, which was situated in T Nagar.

''It is the largest exclusive jewellery destination in India catering to both the retail and wholesale jewellery trade. A world-class ambience combined with a comprehensive array of renowned jewellery brand stores, bullion trading desks from top-line banks, exclusive trading lounges and exhibition hall make this unique concept building the one stop destination dedicated to gold, diamond and jewellery related businesses along with ATM and Food Court'', Thiagarajan and Prashanth told reporters.

The exclusivity of the Tower extends to the security systems, including the single entry-exit point to the building, RCC Wall and CC TV. It also had world-class safety modules like automated fire fighting equipment, the first of its kind in the country for a retail space, and a state-of-art lightning arrester which would sweep and protect in and around the building.

The world's largest jewellery store from Joy Alukkas would be part of this building along with more prestigious names from the industry, standing testimony to the value the new shop offers both to the trade and the customer.
