Jabalpur, May 22 (UNI) A local handicapped youth Kamal Nishad, has attempted to register his entry into the Guinness Book of World Records by marathon drawing of 302 portraits in 130 hours.
Kamal started drawing portraits on May 15 at the waiting room of Jabalpur railway station and achieved his target yesterday.
A student of fine arts in Jabalpur's Government Kala Niketan College, he pursued his hobby of painting notwithstanding several obstacles.
Inspired by a Hyderabad-based artist, who made the world record after making paintings continuously for 108 hours, Kamal set out on marathon painting and finished his endeavour by painting the free hand portrait of Jabalpur Mayor Sushila Singh.
He will claim for the world record on the basis of certificate given by the judges on his feat.
