Prince Azim's Birthday Celebration
Michael Jackson will be paid a staggering 5 million for attending a prince's birthday party. The 'Thriller' singer has been promised the mega-bucks deal just to turn up at Brunei's Prince Azim's 25th birthday bash - and does not even have to sing.
Michael, 48, flew to the UK from Los Angeles ahead of the lavish two-day party this weekend. Soul legend Dionne Warwick is being paid 250,000 to sing at the extravagant soiree, and the prince's advisors are reportedly trying to persuade Barbara Streisand to also attend.
Azim, whose father the Sultan of Brunei is one of the world's richest men, has invited a host of celebrities to join in the celebrations, including Pamela Anderson, Jerry Hall and Kate Moss. The 200 VIP guests will leave the casino and ball-themed bash with designer goodie bags, bursting with iPods, diamond jewelery and luxury cosmetics.
