Glycerin is most often seen as a beauty ingredient rather something that has use in the day to day jobs of the household. However, the uses of glycerin extend to cover many different fields. Loosen Door Knobs
Is your door getting jammed again and again? You can try oiling the hinges of the doors with glycerin to make its movements smooth again. It also helps to get rid of the irritating sound that jammed doors make.
Oil Old Locks
Sometimes locks that have being lying unused for long time do not work properly. You may notice that the key does not fit into the keyhole properly. Using a little bit of glycerin may ease the effort you have put while using the lock.
Natural Soap
Glycerin has natural cleaning properties. You can use it to make your own dishwashing liquid. It would in fact be like a very mild soap.
Preserve Flowers
Adding a dash of glycerin to the water in the flower vase helps to preserve flowers for long. Glycerin increases the shelf life of cut flowers by keeping them fresh and fragrant.

By its very nature, glycerin is not sticky and thus, the stamps will not become sticky either.
