10 Tips To Care & Store Denims
Denim is one material which can last for years, provided you look after them with care. Youngsters are crazy over denim jeans, denim jackets and the likes. But, looking after your denims can be a real task if they are old and worn out.
Before they reach that stage, you need to look after them with care. Washing them once in a week is necessary as they need to see water no matter how many people tell you it isn't necessary for jeans.
Although you cannot see the dirt on the jeans, the material has the ability to catch dirt easily. Therefore, washing them regularly and storing them in the right way will make them last longer.
Boldsky shares with you some of the ways to care and store denims for long, take a look:
BEST WAYS TO WEAR DENIM THIS SEASON

Folding Them
Denims are thick material so you need to fold them up in such a way that they do not form creases easily. Changing their folding pattern regularly will also help them not to fade in that crease.

Don't Use Fresheners
It is best that you do not use fresheners when storing your denims as the smell of raw denim mixed with the fresheners will omit a bad odour.

Wash Them Once A Week
It is important you wash your denims once in a week. This is an important tip to care and look after denims for a long time.

Store In Direct Sunlight
The best time of the day to dry your demins after wash is in the morning. The sun isn't too sharp for the colour to fade away.

Do Not Add Bleach
Adding bleach to your denims during a wash will only change its colour. Bleach is a strong agent and should be used for only white coloured clothes and not jeans.

Soak In Vinegar
If you want to retain the colour of your jeans, soak them in a vinegar solution mixed with water for at least half an hour before you rinse it with clean water.

Hot Steaming
The best way to look after and care for your denims is through hot steaming. Hot steaming will ensure your jeans will always remain the same for a long period of time.

Have You Tried Freezing Your Jeans?
To care and look after your denims, you need to freeze it for at least 15 minutes after it has been soaked in vinegar solution. Freezing your jeans will not lead to them tearing.

Wash Them Alone
It is best to wash your jeans alone in the machine. Washing them alone will help to retain its colour.

Careful About Scrubbing
Many people think the only way to look after and care for denims is to scrub them well while washing. The more you scrub your denims, the thinner the material becomes over time.
