Remove Grease Stains From Clothes: Tips
Got grease stains on the sleeves of the shirt while repairing a machine or working on your car? Well, it is said that getting rid of the grease stains is not easy. That is why, once the cloth gets a grease stain, people tend to throw it or use the cloth for cleaning purpose.
Well, it is good to know that you can get rid of the grease stains from clothes. All you need to do is remove the grease stains instantly. It becomes really difficult to get rid of grease stains from clothes after they dry. So, always wash off the grease stains when they are fresh. You can use some simple tips to remove grease stains from clothes and clean them.
Tips To Remove Grease Stains From Clothes:

Talcum Powder: Rubbing the stains with water will worsen the fabric as the grease will spread further. So, use dry things like talcum or baby powder on the grease stain. Use the powder puff to remove the grease stain from the cloth. Rub it well till the grease stains lighten and is completely gone.
Salt: This is another tip to get rid of the grease stains from the fabric. Mix 1 part salt with 4 parts of rubbing alcohol. Rub on the grease stain to remove it. Rub on the direction of the fabric stitching so as to prevent the fabric from tearing off.
Baking Soda: Baking soda is one of the ingredients used widely to get rid of stubborn stains from the clothes. Baking soda can also be used to remove grease stains. Spread baking soda on the stain and leave for 15-20 minutes. Now use a wet sponge and rub off the grease stain from the fabric.
Vinegar: Lemon and vinegar solution is one of the best ingredients for washing clothes. To remove grease stains from the shirt, socks or from kitchen cleaning clothes, use vinegar. Apart from removing the grease stains, vinegar also helps get rid of the odour. Sprinkle few drops of vinegar on the grease stains and leave for 10 minutes. Rub and scrub off the stain. You can also mix vinegar with salt to get best results. It is one of the best ingredients to use on stained white and other light coloured clothes.
Cornstarch: Like talcum powder, you can also use the cornstarch to get rid of grease stains from the cloth. Spread cornstarch on the stained fabric and rub it gently. You can also leave for 20 minutes and then vacuum the stain away. Follow up with a detergent wash.
