4 Simple Ways To Repair Wood Scratches

Than fixing damage on wood, repairing wood scratches is even difficult. But a simple scratch cannot be left that way as it will spoil the look of the furniture.
For some, preserving the ancestral furniture is itself a hobby or pride and they know how to keep it new for centuries. We have stolen a few tips from them and listed as points to help you to repair wood scratches and fix other damage on wood. Take a look.
Repair Wood Scratches – Tips
1. Wax For Light Coloured Wood – For deeper scratches, candle wax can be rubbed on wood. The wax cover the deeper scratches on light coloured wood (such as rubber wood). Some also use beeswax to conceal dark coloured furniture.
2. Walnuts, Almonds And Brazil Nuts – To disguise the scrapes and dings, rub the dry nuts on the furniture. The oil in the nuts helps binding the nut pieces on the wood scrapes.
3. Crayon – For those scratches done by your kid, its own product can solve the problem. The suitable colour crayon can be used to erase and repair the wood scratches.
4. For 100% Scratch Removal – Lemon juice with olive oil are mixed in equal proportion and rubbed on wood. A soft cotton cloth can be used for application. Lemon prevents from termite attack and oil hides the mild and light scratches.
Oil and alcohol can also be used for furniture polishing and to keep it new (scratch free) forever.
