10 Ways To Banish Bad Smells From Home
We all love the welcoming cozy smell of home; it is a part of your sense of attachment with your home. Nobody likes to come back to a home that smells like sour cream and toilet paper. After a tiring day when you enter your house and it is stinking, it is bound to spike your temper.
However, some very simple steps can help you banish the dirty bathroom and kitchen smell from your home. Here are a few tips to help you make your home smell good.

1. Dispose Garbage Daily: One way to keep the stinking smell out of your kitchen is to dispose garbage daily. Even if your kitchen waste is one day old, it will smell.
2. Use Closed Dustbins: No matter where you place your dustbin (in the kitchen, bathroom or living room), it should always be covered with a lid. Or else, it will stink.
3. Use Closed Laundry Bags: We put all our smelly and sweaty clothes into the laundry, so it is bound to smell unsavoury. That is why, you should have a zipped up laundry bag to restrict the smell of dirty clothes.
4. Never Leave Food Uncovered: The best way to keep your kitchen smelling good is to cover all the food you prepare. Even when you are cooking, cover and cook or switch on the exhaust fan.
5. Keep Your Bathroom Dry: When the bathroom is left wet and soggy, it develops a musty smell. So ensure that you mop up the excess water and let in some fresh air to keep the bathroom smelling fresh.
6. Wipe Up The Kitchen Sills: Your kitchen smells bad because you may have left it without wiping after you finished cooking. The spills and leftovers in the kitchen slabs attract inscets. So just make a clean sweep after you are done cooking.
7. Use Aromatic Cleansers: Instead of using a normal phenyl or disinfectant, use a flavoured one. For example, lemon flavoured floor cleaning solutions smell really good.
8. Close The Bathroom Door: The bathroom may smell bad after someone uses it. So, always close the door of your toilet to stop the smell from spreading in the rest of the house.
9. Keep The Shoe Rack Closed: First of all, you need to get a shoe rack that is closed. Secondly, never put smelly shoes and socks into the shoe rack directly. First clean them and then stack them up.
10. Let There Be Light: Sunlight is the best way to banish smells from home. Sometimes, furniture starts smelling musty because it is cooped up indoors. So, let in some sunlight and air to have that fresh smell in your house.
As they say, prevention is better than cure; so take these preventive steps to make your home smell good.
