5 Ways To Save Electricity During Diwali

Top 5 Ways To Save Electricity During Diwali
1. Why go for series lights when colourful candles can replace them even better. Chuck the series lights and decorate the scented candles all over the interiors, this will avoid the family members to put on lights and waste energy. When the ambiance is set, it is time to make merry, singing songs and thinking of sweet memories will add up to the uniqueness of the feast. A candle light dinner with members can be very enjoyable and warm.
2. If you are planning to burst crackers outdoor, turn off the electric lights and equipments. Turn off the television and music systems when not you are not at home. Place the buckets below the taps as even a few drops of water collected can be used for flushing or cleaning purposes. Water leakage will add to electrical accidents so better if the floors are maintained dry.
3. Instead of using the mosquito repellents (mats) or switching on the liquidators, it is best to light incense sticks or soak a tablet of camphor in water. The smell will not only act like a room freshener but will also keep away insects.
4. Instead of washing clothes in a machine and wasting energy, wear old clothes while bursting and chuck it after use. Washing hair after the three day celebration is sensible as all the dust on hair is cleaned once in for all. Keeping a check on the geyser powder consumption will save half your electricity bills. Prefer solar water this Diwali 2011, let it be a natural light celebration.
5. Turn off the electrical or gas stoves as even LPG is energy. Turn off the gas knobs and then continue to have unlimited fun this festive season.
Saving electricity need not be restricted to Diwali alone but needs to become an everyday practice. Let Diwali be the day to start the great move in your family. We wish you a very happy Diwali.
