All About Air Conditioner Cleaning & Procedure

All About Air Conditioner Cleaning & Air Conditioner Cleaners -
Air Conditioner Cleaning Tools:
- Vacuum cleaner
- A old toilet brush and tooth brush
- Air conditioner cleaner (detergent)
- Selection of screwdrivers (Philips, Flat bladed, 1/4″ socket head)
- Fin tool (optional)
- New filter (if disposable type)
- Oil
Air Conditioner Cleaning Procedure:
1. Replace the new filter with the old (if disposable). If reusable then brush it well with dry tooth brush. Spray the detergent on the filter and soak it in hot water for a while.
2. Remove the filter from water and brush well, de-grease and hang it up to dry.
3. Next, carefully remove the front grill from the main body of the air conditioner. Unscrew the nuts and place the grill aside.
4. Vaccum clean the motor and using a wet paper towel wipe away the oil on the holes plugs and the fan blades.
5. Lubricate the blades with a few drops of oil.
6. If planning to wipe up the inner surface of the air conditioner see to it that water doesn't enter the electrical connection.
7. Straighten if any fins of the condenser are bent using a fin comb or stick. This will help in increasing efficiency of the coolant.
7. Leave it open for sometime until dry. When completely dry re-assemble all the parts of the conditioner and test operation.
Repeat this procedure every time you feel your conditioner requires cleaning. Happy Air Conditioner Cleaning!
