If you have already planted few vegetables and want them to blossom even in spring season, follow our gardening tips. Cut down steams and give some space to allow the plant to spread a little.
Healthy soil: Instead of using chemicals based soil and fertilisers, go for natural composts like dried leaves and flowers. Always keep the soil healthy for gardening vegetables in the spring season. Begin composting from late fall to build up proper soil. When the soil becomes moist, dig the compost and add well-rooted manure before you plant the spring vegetables.
Start indoor: Cool weather vegetables like carrots, spinach, broccoli and lettuces can be planted in the spring season. Decide which plant seeds you want to dig into your garden soil. Before planting in the garden, you can test the seeds by planting indoors. This prevents you from damaging the soil due to seed damage. Plant indoor under a cool climate to check if the seeds are good or not. Once the saplings start to grow, you can re-plant them in the garden soil.
Under partial shade: Although few vegetables can grow with or without sunlight, it is good if you plant your veggies under partial shade. Grabbing sunlight for 2-3 hours every day fosters growth of vegetables in the spring garden.
Control pests: Pesticides are designed to kill. So, you have to protect your vegetable plants in every season. Try organic pests to keep the plants healthy and chemical-free. Use plant based repellents to kill the pests. If you have ants in your vegetable garden, sprinkle salt and water solution on the soil to kill the ants. Be careful while spraying.
