Aromatic Homes Made Easy
Every time I used to enter any room in my own home I used to sneeze due to all those chemical room scents. But what to do? I have dogs and an extra hyper child who treats home like a garbage bin. Until I decided that it’s high time I try something of my own. That’s when I read and researched about home-made scents and fresheners and they are simply too good. Let me share some of them with you.
Home Ingredients to make your house feel fresh

Essential oils
Top of my list of home scents is Essential oils, they are just amazing. They are a combination of Eucalyptus oils, Rose oil, Lavender oil, and Balsam of Peru. It is used in aromatherapy and perfume as well. Thus, dab a little on cotton balls and throw it around the house.

Vanilla
We all love the sweet smell of vanilla essence in our food then why not use it. Boil a little water and add vanilla essence to it and let it heat on simmer for some time and then just lie back and enjoy the fruity smell.

Kewra Panadamus
Another personal favourite is Kewra / Panadamus extract. It just so fruity and smooth to smell and instantly calms you down. Enjoy this homemade room scents in most easiest way.

Baking Soda
Add a little baking soda to any of the sweet scented oils like lavender or rose or eucalyptus oil and see the magic. It just freshens the entire house and also deodorizes all those unwanted smells.

Hazelnut Oil
Hazelnut oil is another favourite of mine. It just smells so good. Add a little alcohol to it and put it in a jar with a closed lid of wood or cardboard. It will add to the aroma of the whole house.

Pepper Mint Oil
Peppermint oil and dried peppermint crushed and mixed with a little warm water is another favorite. It has an extremely refreshing smell and makes you feel instantly energized and fresh.

Lime Juice
Did you know Lime juice can be used as a homemade natural room scent? It has deodorizing properties and adds a little tangy taste to the house. It can also be used in dried form for decoration as well as deodorization.

Lemons
Fresh lemons are also very useful. They can be used to freshen and add a scent to the home by either slicing or grating them.

Orange
Oranges are considered as one of the most refreshing fruits, so use them to give a sweet refreshing scent to your house. The peal can be placed as such or even grated to do the trick.

Coffee
Coffee has a property to suck in all back odor and leave out a fresh scent especially in refrigerators.

Cinnamon
Next best scent is Cinnamon. Use it with other refreshments like lime or oils or alone in a dried form and it is just amazing.

Vinegar
White vinegar too is a useful liquid that deodorizes and adds a fresh scent to your beautiful living space.

Cloves
Cloves are used in dry decoration in the living areas because of their pungent sweet smell and can be decorated with orange peels and lemon.

Pine
Pine or Cedar twigs along with Nutmeg and Bay leaves are used to make a perfect potpourri of beautiful scent and fresh classic look.

Peanuts
Peanuts too have a very natural property of soaking up a good smell from any scented substance. They stay scented for a really long time giving a great scent to your dwelling area.
Go on then all you people who love their area chemical free and try these little shots of fresh, green and nature friendly scents and trust me you will really love it. They smell good and give a personal touch to your surroundings too!!!
