Terrace Seating Ideas For Different Occasions
1. The Messy Look: Your terrace is not a place to be prim and proper. You can safely go in for a messy look on your terrace that make it wonderfully casual and relaxed. For terrace seating scatter a few bean bags on the terrace. Let the bean bags be of different and contrasting colors like red, black, tan etc. You can achieve the same effect with large, fluffy comfortable looking cushions interesting colors. The color factor is very crucial for terrace decor because your options for painting the terrace are limited due to the absence of walls. So make it as bright and welcoming you can. If you wish to have a coffee table in this seating arrangement then go for small side tables of low height. The height has to be compatible with the lower heights of the bean bags or cushions.
2. Cane for Evening Coffee: If you usually use your terrace mainly for your evening coffee and snacks, then cane sofas are very good for outdoor home decoration. Cane furniture goes perfectly well with the airy feel required for terrace decor. This kind of terrace seating has to be usually done either in square or rectangular patterns. Only if your cane sofas are roundish in shape can you think of a round or oval arrangement.
3. Terrace as your Study: If you use your terrace as a make shift study, then you can tie up colorful nylon hammocks to lie down and read at your leisure. Recliners are another expensive but apt option. You can also use a combination by keeping one recliner and tying up hammocks so that you can relax while you read. Decorating your terrace with a rot iron or wooden swing will also work very well.
4. Party Host: The terrace can be used to host huge parties that won't fit in the living room. For this purpose you cannot keep a permanent arrangement. You have to get temporary options like plastic chairs, stools and all the cushions you can spare from your house. Don't use small tables in your terrace seating for parties. Get longitudinal table to arrange all the food in one place to minimize the mess.
Outdoor home decoration has its own rules that are different from decorating indoors. If you follow them and experiment with the above concepts you could have a unique terrace decor.
