Making A Wreath At Home: Decoration Tips

Since the ferns and flowers need to look fresh for the festive season, they need to made or decorated 2-3 days before christmas. If you do not want to wait until the last minute, you can collect the pine fruits and oak fruit, Hawaiian wood rose, pain it gold or copper and decorate wreath with the dried ferns (oak/ juniper leaves). 1. Wreath Forms & Hangers – The base of the wire coat hangers can be bent into a neat circle. The ferns can be would around the hanger and your Christmas wreath is ready. This idea is the most easiest and inexpensive one.
Different varieties of wreath forms are also available in the market. Styrofoam, straw, grapevine, nito, wired and wet foam forms. The wet foam forms are the best and most practical type as it can hold the ferns perfectly and maintain dampness for days. These types are available in various forms and sizes.
You will have make hangers for these wreaths. A metallic twine/ floral wire needs to bent at the centre. The tip needs to be twisted to obtain a hole. The edges can be wound around wreath tightly.
2. Garlanding Wreath - Plants such as garden of ivy, gardenia, hydrangia can be wound the wreath. Tiny red berries and fruits can fill the empty places. Using fragrant flowers will make the room smell fresh.
3. Decoration Tips – The pine fruits are the best attraction. They occupy spaces and red ribborn can be used to make bow and stick to the wreath. The one on the upper half casn be small while the lower edge can have long tails.
