6 Handy Tips To Maintain Your Costly Decor Accessories
From interesting wall art, sculptures, figurines, curios, and books to souvenirs; It is the decor accents and accessories that help complete the decor of your home or space in every sense. The objects you choose for elevating your home or space, help showcase your personality and ideology in the most open way possible! And let's face it.
Decor objects don't come cheap either. So, it becomes pretty evident and inevitable for you to keep the objects in a pristine condition and continue to elevate the beauty of your space!

Here are some easy tips to help keep your costly decor objects in top shape:
Clean Items Frequently
No matter how spotless you keep your space, somehow the dust and dirt accumulated on the decor accessories, isn't it? The ideal way to tackle this situation is to clean the decor objects frequently or if possible regularly with a lint-free, soft cloth or a gentle duster. Be extra careful when cleaning delicate materials like glass, crystal, and ceramics as they may scratch easily. Make sure to use appropriate cleaning products and follow the care instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Avoid Exposure to Sunlight
Direct sunlight is not a very favourable thing for decor pieces. It can fade them sooner and particularly damage objects made of wood, fabric, or leather. Ensure to place the accessories away from direct sunlight or use window treatments (UV-resistant ones) to keep them safe from harmful rays.
Store Objects Properly
If you need to store the accents temporarily or during seasonal changes, then ensure to store them in a clean and dry area. Add protective covers or soft cloth bags to keep the objects dust and scratch-free. Use bubble wraps or foam padding to store delicate objects like ceramics and sculptures for that added protection!
Temperature and Humidity Control
Extreme temperatures and humidity levels can warp, crack, or deteriorate the decor objects. Maintain a stable indoor environment with heating and cooling systems whenever required and consider using a dehumidifier in areas prone to high humidity.

Handle with Care
When shifting or rearranging the decor pieces, handle them with utmost care to prevent accidental damage. For example, lift the heavy pieces instead of dragging them to avoid scratches or dens. Always wear padded gloves or use a soft cloth to protect the delicate and valuable decor pieces!
Inspect and Repair
Regularly inspect the decor accessories for signs of damage, wear or loose parts. Address such issues promptly to avoid further deterioration. Get professional help and services to repair or restore valuable or irreplaceable objects to maintain their original beauty or aesthetics!
