Ways To Keep Your Joints Healthy
You might have noticed that elderly people always complain of joint pain. Even young people these days are suffering from chronic pain in their back and hips. Your joints are delicate portions of your body and you have to care for them. Following a few ways to keep your joints healthy can save you lots of pain later in life.
EAT THESE VITAMIN D RICH FOODS FOR STRONG BONES
Your bone health is extremely important for keeping your joints free of pain. That is why you must eat food for healthy joints and bones. This normally includes foods rich in calcium and vitamin D. Besides, your posture is also responsible for keeping your joints healthy. If you have a bad posture, you will be in perpetual pain.
Moderate exercise keep your joints in working condition. If you over exert yourself or become lazy, your joints will give you trouble. Thus, a combination of the right food, exercise and habits are required to care for your joints.
These are some tips to keep your joints flexible and pain-free.

Lose weight
If you are overweight, then you are putting extra pressure on your joints. So lose some weight and give some relief to your joints.

Walk regularly
You must not become inactive. Give yourself some basic exercise every day. If you don't move your joints they become stiff.

Get lots of calcium in your diet
Calcium is required for maintaining proper bone density. So drink milk and have milk products. Green leafy vegetables are also good foods for healthy joints.

Have vitamin D rich foods
Without vitamin D, calcium doesn't get absorbed into your bones. So you need to eat eggs and get lots of sunlight as well.

Don’t over exercise
Don't push yourself too hard in the gym. If you over exercise, your ligaments or joints may suffer damage.

Change positions
Don't sit or stand in the same position for long. Sitting or standing in the same position puts pressure on the joints in your body. Changing positions distributes the pressure all over your body.

Stop smoking
Smoking interferes with the absorption of vitamin D and calcium in your body. Smokers have low bone density.

Eat lots of good fats
Omega 3 fatty acids help to keep your joints well lubricated. If your joints are dry, they will erode due to friction.

Wear the right shoes
Wearing inappropriate shoes strains your joints. So ditch high heels in favour of comfortable flats.
