Is Drinking Milk Good For Your Heart?
There have been numerous debates in the past as to whether drinking milk is good or bad for your heart, in particular. However, many researches have yielded a positive result approving milk to be good for your heart in many ways. Many scientists have shown that a glass of milk a day reduces the risk of strokes and heart disease.
Milk is not liked by everyone, but has always been beneficial. This is one of the reasons why we are now asked to feed babies breast milk. With a lot of healthy and tasty options out in the market, it is not too difficult to make your children or yourself drink milk. You can have milk in many other fun ways if plain milk is too hard to get used to. You can start your day with cereals in milk, have chocolate milk during the day. Milk shakes with fruits can be a healthy way to have milk too.
So is milk good for you? In a review of studies involving 45,000 adults, by the Monash University in Australia, the results showed that people who consumed more low-fat milk had less risk of hypertension than those who consumed fewer milk products. It is important to make it a habit to drink milk in some form regularly in youth since it is difficult to start drinking milk as a full grown adult.

1.Essential nutrients
Milk is a rich source of essential nutrients that are required by your body, and heart in particular, to function optimally. Milk is an important source of several nutrients including protein, calcium, zinc and vitamin B12. Studies find that adults as well as children are not consuming adequate milk on a regular basis, depriving themselves of all these nutrients including calcium.
2.Minimum required quantity
Researchers from the University of Bristol found that men who consumed at least 200 ml a day were less likely to develop ischemic heart disease. The study conducted over 20 years showed men who drank the most milk had a lower risk of ischemic heart disease, and a significantly lower risk of stroke than those who drank the least. So drink up your milk, as it is proven to be good for your heart.
3.Less risk of hypertension
In a review of studies involving 45,000 adults, Monash University in Australia examined the intake of dairy products and their effect on blood pressure. The results showed that people who consumed more low-fat milk had less risk of hypertension than those who consumed fewer milk products, with the risk of stroke reduced by 40 percent and the risk of heart attack reduced by 25 percent.
