Effects Of Eating Too Salty Popcorns -
1. The very reason why the malls offer too salty popcorns is because they can keep the popcorns fresh and crispy for long. Salts act like preservatives and support food stuff last long even in moist and dry conditions. And not only that, salty popcorns dry up the throat causing the need for thirst and this way the food counters make good money by selling some drinks with popcorns.
2. Too much of salt in popcorns make the blood saltier and as the blood circulates all over, the salt drains up the body fluids causing a lot of discomfort in the body systems.
3. Eating too much popcorn in one sitting will make the person feel bloated and uncomfortable.
4. Adding generous amounts of butter and salt will also elevate blood pressure. The salt and water imbalance caused due to eating such salty foods may even result in high blood pressure, heart attack and even stroke.
5. Munching too many popcorns at a time may lead to choking, cough etc. The National Institutes of Health have termed popcorn to be potentially dangerous to children health (ranging between 1-3).
Ways To Get Over It -
Every time you eat a mouth full of this junk food drink soda (preferably a diet one). Avoid fizzy drinks with artificial sweeterners prefer fresh lemon soda or just soda water.
One of the best ways to avoid the effects of salty popcorns is by burning them. So we would advice 2-3 minutes of quick running, 20 minutes of housework, 5 minutes of workout (circuit training , aerobics etc).
