Foods That Cause Constipation
Constipation is a minor for inconvenient health problems. But, if constipation becomes chronic it can cause many severe health problems too. For example, piles is a long term effect of constipation. So it is very important to detect the cause of constipation on time. The cause of constipation can be food sometimes. Some foods aid constipation and must be avoided to have regular bowel movements.
Fried foods for example cause constipation to a great extent. This is because oil is a reaper and it makes the stool sticky and hard. Also, frozen foods leads to constipation to a great extent. This is because the amount of fibre in frozen foods is really less. The best remedies for constipation is to have fibre rich foods. Laxatives are also a remedy for constipation. However, it is better to restrict the intake of foods that causes constipation instead of having laxatives every day.
Do not allow constipation to become a regular problem. So if you already have a problem with your bowel movements, then avoid these constipation causing foods.

Ice Cream
Ice cream has almost zilch fibre and thus it cannot help you regularize your bowel movements. Plus, all the sugar and milk in the ice cream acts as binders that hardens your stool.

Chips
Chips are fried, crisp and have no fibre. The perfect combination for being a constipating food.

Banana
Banana is a classic 'binder'. It holds the faeces together and thus eating too many bananas can lead to constipation.

Too Much Of Milk Products
Too much of any dairy product like butter, cheese or paneer will slow down your digestion. Thus, the gap between your excretion will increase.

Rice
Rice has lots of starch. And starch is stick so it acts as a 'binder' of stool. So having too much rice can cause both indigestion and constipation.

Cookies
Cookies are low in both fibre and fluids. And you already know that fibre and fluid are the two things you need for regular bowel movements. Plus, they have soda that messes up your digestive system.

Red Meat
Red meat is difficult to digest and has lots of iron. Iron is a hardening substance that makes the stool dark and black. That is why, red meat is bad for people prone to constipation although it is fibre-rich.

Frozen Foods
Frozen foods save time and energy but cause you a lot of health problems in retrospect. They have very low fibre and lots of preservatives that interfere with bowel movements.

Flour
Flour is a very refined food and it is stripped of most of the fibres. Instead of flour if you have multi-grain flour, then you will get more fibres and have lesser chances of constipation.

Deep Fried Foods
Too much frying destroys the dietary fibres in food. Thus fried chicken, potatoes etc are bad for bowel movements.
