There are some very weird diseases that affect humans. They are quite unlike other diseases as they completely disrupt the life of an individual. Be it a vampire or people with blue skin, they are all figments of reality. Such real stories frighten as well as fascinate us at the same time. Let us see some of the weirdest diseases that human beings suffer from.
Progeria- Progeria is a genetic disorder that is caused by a single alteration in the genetic code of a child that fastens up the ageing process. They develop premature baldness, heart diseases, thinning of bones etc. Children with progeria live up to the age of 13. But in some rare cases they even live up to the early twenties. This has devastating effects on the life of the affected. This is one of the weirdest diseases in which a child at the age of 3-4 looks like an eighty year old.

Hypertrichosis or Werewolf Syndrome- Heard of werewolves only in the stories or movies. Well, there are some real life people who get affected by one of this rare diseases. This is one of the weirdest diseases where the whole face of the victim gets covered by hair. This makes them look like werewolves and that is where it got its name from.
Parasitic Twin (Fetus in Fetus)- This is quite an unusual case of Siamese twins. Unlike conjoined twins here in this case one foetus becomes very strong whereas the other remains completely dependant on the other. The weaker one remains inside the other healthy twin all the time. The development of this twin is referred to as parasitic.
Blue Skin Disorder or Argyria- Blue skin disorder is again one of the most rare diseases to be found among the humans. This is a genetic disorder and people suffering from it are found with a blue, plum, indigo and even purple skin. In most of the cases it is caused due to excessive silver accumulation in the body. Though it is one of the weirdest of diseases, it is not supposed to be fatal. Many people diagnosed with it have lived even up to the age of eighty.
Walking Corpse Syndrome- This is a syndrome in which the people think that they are dead. It is one of those rare diseases that has even been linked to bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia. Here the affected person even goes up to the extent of thinking that they have lost a vital body part or even their soul. Some even claim that they are a walking corpse as they can smell their own rotting flesh.
All these are some of the rarest of all diseases we have ever known.
