It is very natural and people do respond to reminders and therefore cell phones are a smart way to communicate with the patients on a regular basis. Using common communication tools can sometimes reap substantial benefits and opportunities to improve health related issues.
As part of the study, 70 healthy people were told to apply sunscreen daily. One group who received reminders were regular in their task. What is important is to keep the messages short so that they can be read at a glance.
The other group that did not get any sms reminders showed only 30 per cent result.
