Emails, the Internet, television and other media, inundates the brain with approximately 100,000 words a day, which is equivalent to 23 words per second.
Experts believe that information overload may have detrimental effects on the brain.

A study revealed that people are bombarded with 34 gigabytes of information a day.
Never before in human history, our brains had to process as much information as they do today. The present generation is busy processing excess information that they lose the tendency to think and to feel. They end up sacrificing depth, feelings and emotions.
Experts believe that the information overload could prompt our brains to evolve in a new way.
