Maintaining weight loss is much more difficult than the actual process of losing weight. If you want to maintain weight loss after a diet, you must follow some important steps.
Losing weight is only half the battle won. You have to still win the war because you have to maintain the weight loss and that is not easy. When you are trying to lose weight, you are in a spree. So, you will follow a strict diet and also exercise on a regular basis.
However, once you have lost weight, most people tend to get complacent. The test of your control comes when you have to maintain your weight after the weight loss has taken place.
To maintain your weight after the diet, always make some lifestyle changes. You cannot be on a diet forever but you can watch what you eat. So be careful of what you are eating. And if working out was a big part of your weight loss regime, then you cannot stop it abruptly. To maintain your weight loss after exercise, you have to keep hitting the gym with moderate regularity.
Here are some tricks to help you maintain your weight loss even after you come of a strict diet and exercise regime.

Be Active
Just because you have lost weight, it does not mean you can sit in front of the television and snooze. You need to be active in your lifestyle. Do your household chores and also walk around in office so that you can be active.

Sometimes, you can put on weight without realising it. So, always weigh yourself every week or fortnight after you have lost weight. It will keep you abreast of your weight situation.

Walk n Take The Stairs Whenever You Can
You cannot hit the gym everyday and you will not do it after you have lose weight. So, change the way you travel and live your life accordingly. Walk to work whenever possible. Take the stairs at your office instead of using the lift.

Be Careful While Eating Out
You tend to pile on maximum calories when you eat outside. This is because what you are eating is not under your control. So, always be watchful about the dishes you order when you want to maintain your weight.

Don't Stop The Gym Abruptly
If you have been hitting the gym rigorously for losing weight, then you cannot stop it suddenly. May be you will not be able to hit the gym with equal vigour now but you must do 20 to 30 minutes of cardios everyday.

Drink Lots Of Water
Drinking water is one of the best ways to maintain your weight. You must drink lots of water to keep your metabolism fast and also to get rid of toxins.

Plan Your Meals
You need not count calories because it takes the fun out of eating. But you must plan your meals properly. For example, if you eat rice for lunch, make sure you have rotis for dinner.

Have A Feasible Exercise Plan
May be you do not have time to go to the gym every day. So make a more sustainable exercise plan. You must then at least walk briskly for 30 to 45 minutes every day to maintain the weight loss.

Develop Some Good Habits
When you were trying to lose weight, you practised these good habits like drinking warm water with lemon and honey every day in the morning. Maintain these habits even after you have lost weight.
