Anamika turns 38 today and being one of the most remarkable designers in the Indian fashion industry, this calls for a celebration.
Donning many feathers in her cap, Anamika Khanna has hit the classic late 30s today. She was one of the first Indian designers to showcase her collection at Paris Fashion Week. She has established a global identity by unifying Indian designs with western cuts and styling.
Her label Anamika Khanna, launched in early 90s, offers both bridal wear and read to wear outfits, and a large section of her collection caters to her western clients.
It is interesting to know that Anamika never had a formal training in fashion design. She was a dancer before she became one of the leading names in the fashion world. Even though she never went to a fashion school, but she was determined to learn a lot about designs and thereby she honed her skills attending workshops. With time, Anamika has become one of the most renowned designers in Indian as well as global fashion and showcase her collection regularly at Lakme Fashion Week.
