Sattu Ke Laddoo For Kajari Teej
Teej is an important festival in North India. Dedicated to Goddess Parvati and her re-union with Lord Shiva, this festival is celebrated for marital bliss. There are three types of teej which is popularly celebrated: Akha teej, Hariyali teej and Kajari teej. Of these Kajari teej is very important. Married women observe fast for the whole day. They eat only after worshipping the moon at night and performing the puja. The fast is called off by partaking sattu after the puja.
Sattu is a mixed flour consisting of various pulses and cereals. The typical pulses like chickpeas, Bengal gram, pigeon peas, wheat, horse gram and cereals like corn are roasted and then ground into a flour. This flour is easily available in most of the Northern states of India. If it is not readily available in the market, you can easily prepare it at home. So, here we have a special Kajari teej recipe of sattu ke laddoo recipe which is delicious and healthy.

Sattu ke laddoo is an easy recipe and does not require much time either. It is a perfect recipe if you are fasting for Kajari teej. Take a look at the So, here goes the Kajari teej special recipe of Sattu ke laddoo.
Serves: 10-12 laddoos
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
For Sattu flour
- Wheat- 100gms
- Chana dal (Bengal gram)- 100gms
- Rice- 50gms
For Ladoos
- Sattu flour- 250gms
- Sugar- 250gms (powdered)
- Ghee- 100gms
- Cardamom powder- 1tsp
- Mixed nuts- 2tbsp
Procedure
For preparing Sattu flour at home
- Roast all the ingredients listed under sattu flour in a pan for about 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Stir the ingredients occasionally.
- When it turns a golden brown, switch off the flame and let the ingredients cool down.
- Grind all the ingredients in a mixer to make a fine powder.
For preparing Sattu ke laddoos
- In a bowl mix sattu, powdered sugar, cardamom powder and ghee.
- Add the mixed nuts to the above mixture and mix it again.
- Grease your palms with a little oil and make medium sized round balls out of the mixture.
- Serve the laddoos.
