Healthy Bitter Gourd Juice Recipe
We might hate bitter gourd but the bitter vegetable juice has many health benefits. Diabetics are advised to have bitter gourd juice regularly to decrease high blood sugar levels and purify blood. It also cures respiratory disorders like asthma and bronchitis.
If consumed regularly, bitter gourd juice benefits the body as it boosts the immune system and also controls high cholesterol levels. However, the taste of bitter gourd juice can stop you every time. So, to make it a little delicious, here is the recipe to prepare the bitter and tangy bitter gourd juice. This juice is made with bitter gourd and lemon. Tangy citrus fruit cuts down bitterness from the vegetable, making it a drinkable juice! If you want to make it sweet, add few drops of honey. Artificial sweeteners can spoil the nutritious vegetable juice so, use honey. It is the natural sugar for diabetics.

Bitter gourd and lemon vegetable juice recipe:
Serves: 1-2 glasses
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- Bitter gourd- 3
- Lemon juice- 2tsp
- Honey- 1tsp
- Black pepper- a pinch
- Black salt- as per taste
- Ice cubes
Procedure
- Scrub the skin of bitter gourd a little. Wash and then cut into medium size pieces. Remove the seeds from the bitter gourd.
- Now, blend the bitter gourd pieces with honey and lemon juice. Blend until the juice becomes smooth.
- Open the blender. Add black salt, ice cubes and black pepper. Blend for a minute again.
Bitter gourd and lemon juice is ready to drink. Serve it chilled. It is best to have it immediately. Storing the freshly grounded vegetable juice for a longer time makes it stale.
