Mushroom Cheese Paratha For Breakfast
Paratha recipes are a specialty in India. Although, parathas are not strictly speaking healthy, the Indian breakfast is incomplete without some crispy parathas. The best thing about paratha recipes is that, there are a very wide variety available. You can make parathas with almost any ingredient. Mushroom cheese parathas is a contemporary breakfast recipe.
You can surely guess that mushroom cheese paratha is not a very traditional Indian breakfast. This paratha recipe uses continental ingredients in an Indian recipe. Mushroom cheese paratha is a huge favourite among kids and young people. Due to its compositions, mushroom cheese paratha tastes almost like a pizza.

Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Mushrooms- 6 (chopped)
- Onion (small)- 1 (chopped)
- Cheese- 10 grams (grated)
- Pepper (freshly ground)- 1/2 tsp
- Atta or coarse flour- 2 cups
- Oil- 1tbsp
- Ghee- 1tbsp
- Salt- as per taste
Procedure
- Knead a dough with 2 cups of flour and 1/2 a cup of water. Cover with a wet cloth and keep it aside.
- Take a shallow pan and heat oil in it. Add the onions and saute for 5 minutes on a low flame.
- Then add mushroom and sprinkle salt. Mix it up and cook for 5-6 minutes more on low flame.
- Finally add grated cheese and sprinkle pepper from the top. Stir the mixture and cook for 2 minutes on a low flame.
- Now allow the filling to cool.
- Make fist sized balls out of the dough. Use your thumb to dig a hole into each of the dough balls.
- Stuff 1tbsp of filling into each of the dough balls and seal it with your fingers.
- Roll out the dough balls into round parathas.
- Now use some ghee to fry the parathas on a flat pan.
- Fry both sides of the paratha until it turns brown.
Serve hot mushroom cheese parathas with pickles and curd for a proper Indian breakfast.
