Mirch Ke Pakode: Spicy Snack Recipe
All you need during the monsoons is a cup of hot tea and a plate of crispy pakoras to relish. This season brings in the mood to try several fried dishes. Many of us love to have pakoras and spicy chaats in this season. Pakoras are basically fried snacks. These snacks recipes can be made with a numbers of ingredients. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian ingredients are used for making pakoras.
Onions pakoras, gobi pakoras, aloo pakoras are some of the most popular pakoras which are prepared in almost every house during the rainy season. But have you heard about the chilli pakodas?

Mirch ke pakode are of the most spicy and lip-smacking snack recipe that you can try in this season. The long green chillies are usually used for this pakora recipe. But you can also use the long red chillies provided you de-seed it properly.
So, take a look at the recipe of mirchi ke pakode and give it a try.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- Large green chillies- 10
- Besan (gram flour)- 1 cup
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Chat masala- 3tsp
- Ajwain (carrom seeds)- 1tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Oil- for deep frying
Procedure
1. Mix the besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, ajwain and the chat masala in a mixing bowl.
2. Add half a cup of water to this mixture to make a thick batter.
3. Wash and pat dry the chillies with a kitchen towel.
4. Make a slit in the chillies and take out the seeds with a scooper.
5. Dip the chillies in the besan batter and coat the chillies properly on all sides.
6. Heat oil for deep frying in a pan.
7. Fry for 4-5 minutes on low flame till it turns golden brown.
8. Once done, transfer the pakoras to a plate and drain the excess oil on a kitchen towel.
Mirch ke pakode are ready to be served. Serve these crunchy delights with chutney or ketchup.
