Methi Pakora: Sumptuous Snack Recipe
The chilly evenings of December only brings one thing in mind: a steaming cup of tea and hot, crispy pakoras to go with it. Most of us have eaten onion pakoras, aloo pakoras and the like. But have you ever tried methi pakoras?
Methi pakoras are delicious snacks which can be enjoyed with tea on a winter evening. Fenugreek leaves are easily available at this time of the season. All you have to do is get them to your kitchen and fry up these healthy and crispy delights which is sure to make your taste-buds happy.

So, try out methi pakoras for this evening and have a great tea-time with your family.
Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- Fenugreek leaves- 3 cups (chopped)
- Cooked rice- 1 cup
- Green chilles- 2 (chopped)
- Onion- 1 (medium, finely chopped)
- Hing (asafoetida)- a pinch
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Gram flour- 3tbsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- for deep frying
Procedure
1. Mix cooked rice, gram flour, fenugreek leaves, green chillies, onion, hing, red chilli powder, salt together in a mixing bowl.
2. Mash slightly while kneading. Add a little water if needed.
3. Make small balls out of the mixture.
4. Heat oil in a deep bottomed frying pan.
5. Fry the balls in batches on medium heat till it turns golden brown from all the sides.
6. Once done, transfer the pakoras to a serving plate and serve with mint or garlic chutney.
Methi pakoras are ready to be served. Enjoy these quick and healthy snacks with a hot cup of tea.
