Masala Aloo Fry: Snacks Recipe
The rains have just started pouring in and it is the perfect weather to munch on something perfectly spicy. When the rains start coming, you can enjoy the weather with some 'garam chai' and some really spicy masala aloo fry. This is a snacks recipe that will satisfy all your taste buds. Needless to say that the masala aloo fry is a recipe that is not very healthy.
However masala aloo fry is a crunchy dish that very few people can resist. You can try this fried potato snacks that will make you lick your fingers. You can try these spicy fried potatoes that are homemade replacements for potato wedges. The Indian taste buds cannot be satisfied with food that is not spicy. That is why; masala aloo fry is out equivalent of French fries.

Serves: 2
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- Potatoes- 2 (peeled and chopped into wedges)
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Turmeric- ½ tsp
- Ajwain- ½ tsp
- Green Chillies- 2 (chopped)
- Chaat masala- 1tsp
- Oil- 1 cup
- Salt- as per taste
Procedure
- Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan. Temper it with ajwain seeds and a bit of red chilli powder.
- Now add the rest to the red chilli powder, turmeric, chaat masala and salt to the potatoes. Mix it up properly.
- Now add the potatoes to the pan and lover the flame.
- Sprinkle the green chillies and cover the pan.
- Let the potatoes get cooked for 10 to 12 minutes on a low flame.
- Keep tossing them so that they don't stick to the pan.
Serve crisp hot masala aloo fry with tea or coffee in this season.
