The colourful dish requires patience as there is a little process in making it. Today, let's discuss how to home make ragda patties the easiest way and surprise family with variety dishes. Ragda Patties (Aloo Tikki Recipe Also Mentioned In Detail)
Ingredients:
To Make Patties (also called aloo tikki) You Will Require:
- ' cup mint leaves (chopped)
- 3 big potatoes (boiled, peeled)
- Some chopped coriander
- Corn flour/ soaked bread (white portion)
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 green chillies (chopped finely)
- Salt to taste
- Corn flour paste
- Oil for shallow fry
Procedure:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl (except cornflour paste) and Make circular discs with the mixture.
2. Roll the discs in corn flour paste and shallow fry until golden brown. Your aloo tikki is ready.
For Ragda:
- 11/2 cup green peas/chana dal (boiled with little salt)
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 2 tsps tamarind jaggery juice
- 1 tsp corn flour (for ragda to get thick)
- Salt to taste
- oil fried mustard seeds for seasoning.
Before Serving:
- Finely chopped onions
- Finely chopped coriander
- A pack of Sev
Procedure 2:
1. In a vessel, add green peas with the stock and allow the mixture to boil.
2. Add the masala powders, tamarind juice, corn flour, salt and stir until the ragda boils.
3. Turn off the stove and season with oil fried mustard seeds. Your tasty ragda is ready
Serving Ragda Pattice:
1. In a plate, arrange two pattice in the centre and pour the ragda.
2. Garnish with chopped onion, coriander and sev. Serve immediately.
