Bread Dahi Bhalla
Ingredients:
6 Bread slices
2 tsp Saunth/Sweet Chutney
250 ml Beaten Curds
100 ml Milk
2 tsp Salt
1tbsp Ginger, finely chopped
1tbsp Green Chilies, finely chopped
1 tsp Coriander, finely chopped
1 tsp Cashew nuts, finely chopped
' tbsp Raisins, finely chopped
1 tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds, Grounded
1 tsp Red Chili powder
Buttermilk as required
Oil for frying
Method:
Cut the sides of the Bread slices. Combine the nuts, Ginger, Chili, Coriander and spices.
Add Salt to Milk. Soak one bread slice in the Milk at a time.
Hold the soaked slice in your hand. Stuff 1 tbsp of nut and vegetable mixture.
Close the bread in your palms in the shape of a half moon. Repeat this with the rest of the slices. Heat Oil in a kadai.
Deep fry the Bhallas and put them in Buttermilk, to which a little salt has been added. Squeeze and arrange the Bhallas on a serving dish. Pour the beaten Curd on top.
Garnish with chopped Coriander, Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder, Red Chili Powder and Saunth Chutney.
