Chicken Drumstick: Appetizer Recipe

Chicken drumstick recipe is a can be made with very basic ingredients. This is because this spicy chicken recipe is actually nothing more extravagant than chicken legs fried in batter. It is a very popular street food recipe, so do not expect it to be healthy or low calorie in any way. Chicken drumsticks are a great snack to munch on with friends and can be prepared on short notice.
Ingredients For Chicken Drumstick:
1. Chicken drumsticks or leg pieces 10 (preferably with skin for the crispiness)
2. Ginger garlic (minced) 1 tablespoon
3. Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
4. Pepper ground 1 tablespoon
5. Green chillies 4 (minced)
6. Vinegar 1 teaspoon
7. Coriander leaves (chopped)2 tablespoons
8. Flour 1 cup
9. Bread crumbs 1 bowl
10. Oil (half a pan) for deep frying
11. Salt as per taste
Procedure For Chicken Drumsticks:
Make 1 inch deep incisions on the chicken pieces and soak them in vinegar.
Meanwhile prepare the batter for frying by mincing the ginger, garlic and green chillies roughly. The paste should not be totally smooth or watery.
Mix flour by adding red chilli powder, pepper, ginger garlic chilli paste, salt and coriander leaves. Beat the mixture with half a cup water to form a think paste. It should be tight and not too liquid.
Heat oil in a deep pan evenly on low flame. When it is moderately hot, dip the chicken pieces in batter and roll them on bread crumbs or (crushed corn flakes) and deep fry.
Pat dry the fried chicken with tissue papers before eating because they will be very oily.
Your Chicken drumsticks can be enjoyed with Szechuan sauce or just plain ketchup.
