Stuffed Turkey: Special Thanksgiving Recipe

This comparatively easy Thanksgiving recipe for the traditional turkey roast is for busy ladies who don't have the time bake in the oven for 4 to 5 hours and need something that is easier. This microwave recipe ensures better overall cooking evenly across the thickness of the bird.
Ingredients For Stuffed Turkey:
1. Whole turkey skinned (between 8 to 12 pounds ideally)
2. Turkey stuffing (prepared in advance)
3. Butter 10 grams
4. Chilli flakes 1 tablespoons
5. Red wine 2 tablespoons
6. Microwavable aluminum foil
7. Salt as per taste
8. Carving knife
9. Food thermometre
Procedure For Stuffed Turkey:
- Clean the turkey from inside and outside with warm water. Carve just about enough space to stuff the turkey half. Salt the turkeys insides and outside according to taste.
- It always better to stuff the turkey loosely and incompletely. The stuffing expands and occupies more space after roasting and it remains undercooked if there is lack of space.
- You can either sew up the turkey after stuffing with needle and thread or seal it with an adhesive mixture (honey and flour beaten together).
- Now place it a microwaveable pan and cover it with a aluminum foil. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and place the turkey on the lower rack to grill for about 70 minutes on 60 percent power for cooking.
- Melt butter in the microwave for 30 seconds on full power and mix it with chilli flakes. Break 2 eggs into the mix and beat it together.
- Brush this batter on the turkey after removing the foil. Now cook it in the microwave for another 60 minutes to brown the outside. You need to keep turning it around for even cooking.
Your stuffed turkey needs at least 1 hour of standing time. Either keep it in the microwave itself or in an tent made of aluminum foil. You need to check the temperature of the thigh, wings and breast is a minimum of 165 degrees with a food thermometre. Enjoy Thanksgiving 2011 with this dish.
