"SOFT WITH A HINT OF KICK ASS" - This is a brief definition of Kiran Uttam Ghosh's designs at the Jabong Lakme Fashion Week summer resort 2015.
After 8 long years designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh brings to life a new form to handloom. She describes the traditional fabric to be a collection that's conformist, non-conformist and somewhere in between. One of the best things about this look is the texture which is soft.

On the ramp at LFW 2015, global silhouettes juxtaposed the designs with local handcrafted textiles. According to the fabulous designer she explains that this beautiful collection create traditional yet relevant ensembles. It offer luxury handwoven fashion that is combined with modern textiles.
Therefore, keeping these in mind the woman of today doesn't need a traditional occasion to wear hand loom when she can reach out to it everyday. The Kolkata based designer Kiran brings to the ramp Indian traditional textiles like Bengal dhakais, Banarasi brocades, ikats, silks and khadi.

She pairs these fabrics wonderfully with her trademark and very stylish racerback ganjis, pleated dresses, trousers and saris. On the ramp at LFW 2015, these collection are seen in colours which make the imagination run wild when one thinks of handloom.
The classic combination of threads and the intricate work put into each one of the ensembles makes Kiran the best in the industry when it comes to dealing with this fabulous fabric - handloom.

Her Summer resort collection also sees models wearing halter in handloom, a mixture of crepes and georgettes too. To fashionistas who love handloom it is one fabric which makes you feel dressed from head to toe.
The soft touch of phulia silk adds more elegance to each of the coutures seen on the LFW 2015 ramp.
