Summers are here and the most trendy way to save your hair and shade your skin from the scorchy summer Sun is to wear a hat. Hats became a trend among Britishers in England and came to India during the colonial rule and became prevalent among those women who were sent to Britain for further education in English. Since then the women hat trend in India has seen it's ups and downs. The 2011 once again calls back the hat trend. Lets look at the women hat trend 2011 -

1. The Cowboy Hat – The cowboy hat which earlier was the trend for men has now been hijacked by women and they are making the best out of it. These are straw hats which in the women hats trend 2011 are available in all pastle colours of cream, pink, lemon and yellow. These can be worn over floral frocks, printed dresses and jeans and shirt. In other words, they are casual wears.

2. Oversized Sun Hat – The old hat style of the yester years has made a comeback. The oversized sun hat heralds the 70s trend. These are cloth hats, wide rimmed, forming waves all around. They are to be worn along with frocks and capries. This women hat trend 2011 is available in colours like bright blue, pink and yellow.

3. Sports Hat – Sports hat are straw hat which are short rimmed with a think ribbon attached along the hat rim. They sit lower till your eyes and looks great on casual wears.

4. Fascinator Hat – Kate Middleton, now the Dutchess of Cambridge has introduced the trend of Fascinator hats this season. These are wide rimmed hats which settle on one side of your head and is decorated with flowers and other accessories. The whole of Britain ow seemed to own a Fascinator hat.
