Adorn Your Assets With Cone-Shaped Pointed Bras!

While John Lewis has witnessed an increase of approximately 10 per cent in the sales of Fantasie Belle, their best-selling conical bras, the sale of the Triumph Doreen White, when compared to the year before, have also shot up significantly by 33 per cent.
Popularised by marilyn monroe and Jane Russell in the 50s, decades later, the pointed bras were brought back in fashion by style pioneer, Madonna. In the last century, after recovering from the economic slump, the fashion of feminine pointed bars experienced a renaissance. Eleri Lynn, the curator of fashion at the V&A Museum and the author of Fashion in Detail: Underwear, talking about the evolution of the pointed bras said that they first stepped into the spotlight in 1950s after the austerity of the Second World War.
As the economy begins to recover, the top designers are moving away from recession inspired 'less is more' and offering a wider range of playful collections. With London Designer Louise Goldin and veteran designer Jean Paul Gaultier both featuring cone shaped bras in their upcoming collections, you can expect a lot of it in the Spring/Summer collection'10.
