What Happens When You Apply Pomegranate Peel On Your Skin?
If clear and supple skin is what you are rooting for, then you HAVE to try this pomegranate mask!
We are hooked on to pomegranate these days, not just because it tastes so darn good, but because it is brimming with skin benefits. If you want to knock a few years off, and pump your skin with an elixir of goodness, we suggest you stock up on this fruit, for it is that powerhouse that can transform your skin.

Here is what pomegranate face mask can do. It contains a good amount of ellagic acid, which neutralises the skin-damaging free radicals.
Other than that, it carries over 100 grams of vitamin C, which helps synthesize collagen, a protein that keeps your skin healthy and young.
To top it off, it contains a good portion of zinc and copper, which aid in the regeneration of new skin cells, lock in the moisture in the skin, treat acne, clear the skin and slow down the skin's ageing process.
With so many skin benefits of pomegranate, wondering why you did not use pomegranate in your skin care regimen before?
As they say, better late than never. Here is a perfect DIY pomegranate mask that can change the way your skin feels and looks!
Read the step-by-step procedure below on how to use pomegranate on skin.
Step 1:

Keep a handful of pomegranate peels out in the sun to dry. Let it stay for at least 24 hours, until the colour changes from deep red to slightly brown. Grind it into a fine powder.
Step 2:

Take a bowl, and add a tablespoon of pomegranate powder, with an equal amount of brown sugar and a teaspoon of organic honey.
Step 3:

Using a fork, keep stirring it, until you get a gritty paste. If the skin-clearing pomegranate mask is too dry, add a few drops of rose water, until you get the desired consistency.
Step 4:

Cleanse your face with a mild cleanser to remove all the deeply embedded impurities and dirt. Pat dry.
Step 5:

When your skin is slightly moist, apply a thin coat of the mask on your face and neck. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes.
Step 6:

When the mask is fully dry and your skin begins to stretch, spritz your face with some water, scrub in a circular motion for a minute or two and then rinse with lukewarm water. Follow it up by rinsing with cold water to close the pores.
Step 7:

Later, massage your skin with a light moisturiser for added nourishment and stimulation.
