How To Apply Mascara?
Mascara dramatizes and highlights the eyelashes to give you a chic and seductive look. Different methods can enhance your eyelashes in different ways. Here is a detailed description on how to apply mascara and great tips and tricks that helps in emphasizing the eye with the right definition. So follow them to give your lashes an ultimate look.
Step by step procedure
Apply mascara after eye shadow and eyeliner.
Apply a powder to the lashes as this will give your lashes volume and will allow the mascara to stay longer. To avoid smudging powder the under-eye area before applying mascara
If you wish curl your lashes with an eyelash curler then apply all other eye makeup prior to your mascara
You have a variety of choices while choosing mascara's that differ from thickening, varied colours, long-wearing, conditioning and waterproof formulas. Select the appropriate mascara for the lashes that suits your complexion and even the occasion. For instance long wearing or thickening formula for the whole night party, red or brown lashes for blond complexion, or brown-black for more dramatic lashes.
The perfect method for gentle and desired stroke is to look down into the mirror. Stroke lashes upward with just a tip of the brush. Always brush the lashes upwards from below to get the both sides of the lashes.
Apply a thin coat, first and wait until it partially dries and then build up with a second coat of mascara. When applying mascara to the lower lashes, gently brush the tip of the applicator across them as it gives your eyes a wider look. Ensure that the mascara covers the lashes from the root to the tip of the lash.
For thicker and lusher lashes apply lengthening mascara followed by thickening mascara.
Comb the lashes to separate the hairs and to remove the excess mascara. Thin and short brush is best as it is easier to control and gets to the corner of the eye easily.
Try not to blink your eyes for until it dries. To remove the excess mascara blot the lashes with a tissue.
If the mascara has spread around the eyes by mistake then remove it with with a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of eye makeup remover.
Tips and Tricks
Avoid pumping the wand in and out of the tube as this will introduces air into the tube, which will maker the mascara dry.
For a steady hand always bend the wand in a right angle.
While applying mascara to the bottom lashes place a tissue under them.
Avoid using water proof mascara as it may pull out lashes and even break them while removing it with solvents.
Remove the excess mascara by blotting the lashes with a tissue.
Blink onto the brush to give ends an extra coat.
Buy a new tube if your mascara is too thick as thicker mascara is harder to apply and often gives your lashes an unappealing spider look.
Brown and blue mascara works best for those with blond hair.
