Sonam Kapoor's Long Hair Pampering Routine Is Unique! 6 Tips For Fab Summer Locks
Sonam Kapoor's long, lustrous hair appears like a dream, but it's a pleasant reality of hers! No matter what the season or occasion, her hair game is always on point. Now, maintaining such voluminous tresses, especially during summertime needs serious care and dedication. And Bollywood's beauty maven ensures to treat her hair in such a way that common woes like heat, humidity, and harsh sun exposure are a non-existent story!
Shared below are Sonam's lesser-known summer haircare secrets that keep her mane fabulous even during sunlight months!
Fermented Rice Water Rinse
Sonam relies on ancient beauty hacks to keep her hair strong and shiny. She prefers rinsing her locks with fermented rice water at least once a week.
The vitamins and amino acids in fermented rice water aid in straightening the locks, reducing breakage, and promoting hair growth. The 'Neerja' movie star advises letting the rice water work its magic for 15-20 minutes post-shampooing before washing it off with lukewarm water.
Moringa Oil Massage
To care for your tresses, you can think beyond the coconut oil! Yes, Sonam Kapoor who is praised for her beautiful long hair prefers cold-pressed moringa and avocado oil. Moringa oil is lightweight and moisturizes whereas avocado oil which is loaded with vitamin E nourishes the locks well.
'Khoobsurat' movie actor massages these oils into her scalp and strands at least once a week. She prefers to leave the oils for at least an hour or two before rinsing them off with mild shampoo.
Fenugreek Seed Hair Mask
During the summer, frizz is every girl's worst fear, but Sonam has discovered a natural remedy: a fenugreek seed hair mask. She grinds the fenugreek seeds into a paste, soaks them overnight, and then blends them with honey and yogurt.
Fenugreek reduces frizz and adds a velvety texture to hair by smoothing the cuticles. She concentrates on the ends of her hair when applying the mask, and after 20 minutes, she rinses it out with cold water. The outcome? Shiny, frizz-free hair that maintains its smoothness even on the driest periods!
Floral Water Hair Spray
Sonam uses a homemade flower water spritz to keep her hair looking vibrant and smelling good. For hydration, she adds a few drops of argan oil to distilled water and infuses it with rose petals, jasmine, and lavender.
The pretty Bollywood star tames dullness and adds an extra shine by quickly misting her hair and scalp. Her hair smells divine with this flower infusion, which also serves as a natural perfume. Her hair stays airy and bouncy throughout the day thanks to this unique haircare method!
Raw Honey And Banana Hair Smoothie
Sonam relies on a high in nutrients banana and honey mask to combat the dryness during summer. She makes a creamy paste by blending a ripe banana mixed unfiltered honey and a little almond milk.
While honey retains moisture and gives hair a natural sheen, bananas are high in potassium and organic oils that strengthen and condition hair. She rinses the mask off after 20 minutes with cool water. Her hair feels moisturized, silky, and noticeably better after consuming this hair smoothie!
Peppermint And Rosemary Scalp Treatment
The fashion and beauty hoarder uses peppermint and rosemary oil to massage her scalp, giving her hair an additional lift. While peppermint oil has an icy feel that calms the scalp, rosemary oil increases blood circulation, which encourages hair growth and decreases hair loss.
She dilutes these oils with almond or jojoba oil to lock in extra moisture. Apart from improving hair health, this therapy leaves her scalp feeling renewed even throughout the sweltering sunny season!
