Winter Body Care Tips For Cracked, Painful Skin
The winters can take a huge toll on your body skin. Here are some tips to avoid cracked and painful skin that we usually have to deal with during winters.
Winters can spell havoc for the skin, especially if you have dry skin. The face tends to produce more oil naturally than the body does, so it is usually the body skin which cracks and hurts. However, with these winter body care tips that we've listed below, you'd be sorted.
No matter what you do, winters can make your skin quite sad and miserable. This happens to almost everyone, even people who may not have dry skin to start with. Yes, even people with oily skin can be a victim to dry skin during the winters.
People of all varying skin types need to follow a skin care and body care ritual when it comes to winters. This may require a little more patience and time from your side, but obviously it would all be worth it.
Nobody wants to deal with cracked and painful dry skin, right? It is not only the flakes that look bad, but also the associated pain. So, it is more than just a beauty concern.
So, try out these winter body care tips and make sure you follow a strict beauty routine in the winters as well to avoid the condition of cracked and painful skin!
1. Oil Before Shower: Use a body oil or just simple coconut oil before you take a shower. This seals in the moisture to your skin and ensures that not too much moisture is lost from the skin during the shower.

2. Lukewarm Water: Hot water tends to dry out the skin even more, so be sure to use lukewarm water, as it is absolutely impossible to shower with cold water during the winter season. This is one of the most important body care tips for winter.

3. Avoid A Regular Moisturiser: Use a body butter as opposed to your regular moisturiser after you take a shower. This helps lock in the moisture and prevent further drying of the skin. This is a must follow winter body care tip.

4. Hydrate: Even though you don't feel the urge to drink as much water as you would wish to drink on summer days, it is important to keep drinking as much water during the winters as well.

5. Massage Oil: Use a massage oil at night before you sleep, at least once a week. If you can do this more than once a week, it is even better, as it improves blood circulation and also locks in the moisture during the winter months.

6. Shea Butter: For people who have severely dry skin, and nothing else seems to work, it is time to try shea butter. This is the ONE THING that would work for sure even on the driest of skin types.

7. Hand Cream: One part of the body that is often neglected in terms of moisture are the hands. Our hands do the most work and yet, they are not given enough care. So, be sure to use a hand cream for adding that extra moisture that your hands need.
