Salmon
This is one of the foods for strong nails. Salmon is rich in omega-3 and fatty acids, which is good for your hair. This also helps to hydrate your skin. Taking salmon 2 -3 times a week will help strengthen your nails. Eating salmon will make your nails less brittle.

Dark leafy vegetables
Providing sufficient amount of Vitamin A, B and C is one of the most important nail heath tips. This will help in the strengthening of hair and nail. This is found plenty in the dark leafy vegetables. Vitamin C is needed to increase the absorption of iron and thereby providing a healthy scalp and nails.

Beans
All beans and lentils are foods for strong nails. These are rich in biotin, iron and protein. Biotin helps with the growth of hair and nail. The iron and protein is used for strengthening them. Milk and eggs are also products that are rich in biotin.

Whole Grains
To maintain strong nails, it is necessary to fight free radicals. These free radicals tend to damage your skin and hair. Oats, brown rice and other sprouted grains are rich in antioxidants that fight these free radicals. They also contain silica which maintains strong nails.

Water

These are not only rich in protein, but also in magnesium. Magnesium also helps with maintaining healthy hair and nails. Vertical ridges in the nails could be due to inadequate magnesium. Soya beans and leafy greens are also rich in magnesium and considered as foods for strong nails.
