Skin n Hair Care Tips Before Holi
Holi is a festival that is known for its exuberant colours and maddening celebrations. However, your skin and hair are usually ignored during the Holi celebration. Every year, you are in a dilemma just before Holi. You want to go out and play with colours to the fullest. But your mind restrains you and reminds you about the damage that Holi colours can cause to your hair and skin.
But with the right skin care for Holi, you can easily protect your skin and hair from Holi colours. The trick of doing the right kind of skin care for Holi is to be consistent. We all know that applying oil on body is the best skin care tip for Holi. But if you do it just for one day, your skin protection will not be complete. You need to have oil massages for at least two to three days before Holi.
As far as hair care for Holi is concerned, oiling your hair is the best way to protect it. Moreover, tying your hair carefully will also provide protection from colours. Applying sunscreen is also an important skin care tip for Holi. The summers have just started and you need to protect your skin from the scorching heat.
Here are some skin care and hair care tips that need to be followed before Holi.

Castor Oil Massage For Hair
Castor oil gives you thick hair growth. Massage your hair every night with castor oil for about two days before Holi. This will strengthen your hair roots and not let the colours settle on your scalp.

Use Toner To Clean Pores
Use a good toner to clean your skin pores thoroughly. This will ensure that the oil or cream massage on your skin reached within the pores to nourish your skin.

Mustard Oil Massage For The Body
Mustard oil has dual qualities. Firstly, it is thick oil and thus it doesn't allow the colours to settle on the skin. Secondly, it provides natural sun protection to the skin.

Apply Thick Coats Of Lip Balm
The skin on your lips is 10 times thinner than your body. So apply thick coats of lip balm on your lips.

Apply Almond Oil Behind Your Ears
For the tough skin behind and inside your ears, you need Vitamin E rich almond oil. This will protect as well as nourish your skin.

Comb Your Hair Carefully
Comb out all the knots in your hair carefully. The Holi colours will make your hair matted and rough. So you need to have your hair combed out and tied up beforehand to avoid hair knots later.

Apply Nail Paint On Nails
Your nails are worst affected by Holi colours. So apply thick layers of nail paint on your nails. Also cut and file your nails so that colours do not accumulate under the nails.

Apply Mustard Oil In Nostrils
Mustard oil is very good for your nostrils. This is because its strong smell opens up your clogged nostrils. But before Holi, mustard oil will keep the insides of your nose safe from colours.

Apply Sunscreen Top To Bottom
You should literally bathe in sunscreen lotion before going out to play Holi. This is because the Indian summer is very harsh. And colours can make your skin more prone to sun damage.
