5 DIY Hair Masks to Promote Hair Growth Naturally
Maintaining healthy and luscious hair is an essential part of our beauty routine. However, factors like pollution, stress, and improper care can lead to hair loss or slow growth. Fortunately, there are several DIY hair masks that you can make at home to promote hair growth naturally.

1. Coconut Oil and Curry Leaves Mask
Coconut oil is known for its nourishing properties, while curry leaves have been used in traditional Indian remedies for ages due to their ability to stimulate hair follicles.
To create this mask, heat a cup of coconut oil with a handful of curry leaves until they turn black. Strain the mixture and apply it on your scalp gently massaging it in circular motions. Leave it overnight before rinsing with a mild shampoo.
2. Onion Juice and Honey Mask
Onions contain sulfur which helps improve blood circulation to the scalp, promoting hair growth. Honey acts as a natural moisturizer that nourishes the strands from within.
Blend an onion into a paste and extract its juice using a strainer or cheesecloth. Mix equal parts of onion juice and honey thoroughly before applying it all over your scalp. Leave it on for 30 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water.
3. Aloe Vera and Castor Oil Mask
Aloe vera is renowned for its hair growth properties, while castor oil strengthens the hair follicles and prevents breakage.
Combine equal parts of fresh aloe vera gel and castor oil in a bowl, ensuring they are mixed well. Apply this mask from roots to tips and let it sit for an hour before rinsing with a mild shampoo.
4. Fenugreek Seeds and Yogurt Mask
Fenugreek seeds are rich in proteins that strengthen the hair shafts, preventing breakage and promoting growth. Yoghurt acts as a natural conditioner that adds shine to your locks.
Soak two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds overnight and grind them into a paste the next morning. Mix this paste with half a cup of yoghurt until you get a smooth consistency. Apply it evenly on your scalp, leave it on for 30 minutes, then wash off with cold water.
