Parivrtta Parsvakonasana
The term 'Parivrtta' would mean 'revolved'. 'Parsva' would mean 'side' or 'flank' and the word 'Kona' would mean 'angle'. Hence the name 'Revolved side angle pose' or the 'Revolved lateral angle pose'.
1.Stand in Tadasana.
2.Inhale deeply and jump to have your legs spread about 4 to 4 ' feet .
3.Have your arms raised sideways in line with the shoulders with palms facing down
4.Have the right foot turned sideways to 90 degrees to the right and the left foot 60 degrees to the right with the left leg stretched out and tightened at the knee,
5.Bend the right leg at the knee until the thigh and the calf form a right angle and the right thigh parallel to the floor.
6.Exhale and bring the left arm over the right knee by rotating the trunk and the left leg.
7.Place the left arm pit on the outer side of the right knee and rest the left palm on the floor by the outer side of the right foot.
8.Twist your spine to the right and turn your trunk and bring the right hand over the right ear.
9.Gaze up at the outstretched right arm, but have the left knee tight throughout.
